We are seeking an Analytical Research Chemist to join our Research and Development laboratory located in St. Louis, MO to fully support the development of new products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate and timely analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products and stability samples according to developed and/or approved analytical methods.

  • Support method development and validation of raw materials, in-process materials, finished products and stability samples.

  • Strong experience with HPLC, GC, mass spectroscopy, Chromatography Data Acquisition systems, dissolution, particle size analysis by laser diffraction, wet chemistry and good knowledge of other analytical techniques employed in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Possesses strong problem-solving skills with attention to details and the ability to troubleshoot analytical methods and laboratory instrumentation.

  • Familiar with USP/NF, EP and JP compendial methods and verification requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of FDA, ICH Guidelines and other related regulatory requirements

  • Experience and knowledge of cGMP and DEA requirements

  • Adherence to all health, safety, and environmental requirements. Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and timeline driven environment without compromising data integrity.

  • Document all laboratory testing and maintain accurate and legible notebooks and records.

  • Peer review of data, reports and laboratory notebooks.

  • Assist in maintaining laboratory instruments and facilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cross-functional team.

  • Additional duties and assignment as needed.

  • Extended work hours may be required.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or advanced degree in Chemistry or related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years working in the pharmaceutical industry with R&D experience preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient with MS Office.
